5K For The Fight:
5,000 people for the fight against cancer
May 2020.

This year, with COVID-19, we are adjusting our global, virtual 5K. New this year is a 5 challenge so that everyone in all regions can safely participate. We will have 5,000 people virtually joining together in the month of May for the fight against cancer!
Put those social challenges to good use!

Give 5 - Do 5 - Nominate 5

5K your way throughout the month of May!

We’d love to see you do it your way. What way is your 5? Is it 5K? 500 jumping jacks? 5 classes? Show us what you’ll do and dedicate it to someone fighting cancer. 

You can do 500 jumping jacks, sit-ups,  or burpees, 5 classes of your favourite physical activity like yoga or pilates, or ride your bike for 50 miles.

Get creative with anything you can think of whether you do 5, 50, or 500 of them!

If it is safe in your area to do a solo, socially-distanced 5K, you can do that, too!

The 5K challenge has now gone live in the “Your Virtual Race” App. Otherwise choose from the some of the challenge ideas listed below.

SOME CHALLENGE IDEAS TO CHOOSE FROM

  • 500 jumping jacks

  • 500 push ups

  • 500 sit ups

  • 500 burpees

  • 50 mile bike ride 

  • 5 yoga sessions

  • A solo socially-distanced 5K on a treadmill or outside if your area permits

  • Anything else you can think of whether you do 5, 50, or 500 of them!

HOW TO TAKE PART IN THE VIRTUAL 5K IF YOU STILL CAN.

1. Simply register for the 5k.

2. Complete your 5k using the free Your Virtual Race app.

3. On race day, enter the "5 For The Fight Challenge" on the Your Virtual Race app.

4. Have fun and do your best- your time will be automatically recorded.

5. View the leaderboard on the website once the event has finished.
